Cupcake Craft Challenge 8

Hi! This week's challenge is a sketch by Ceal, one of our Design Team (see above). As usual you can flip it, alter it slightly as long as you can still see the main design. The prize this week is fantastic and is donated by Donna from her shop Crafty Krafts and includes a brilliant Christmas paper pack, chipboard tags and a Dovecraft Wonderboard- how fab! Entries to be in by next Monday- do join in!

Above is my design for my Design Team responsibilities. I don't actually own an oval nestie or anything oval and I did consider doing something round with my nesties but I wanted to stay as close to the design as I could so I had to cut freehand which I think I did quite well! I made this card for my Dad's friend and he needs a really cheery card so I think this fits the bill!

I coloured the image with my copics and added some highlights to the flower centre with gold Stickles. I cut out the image freehand and mounted it on some paper from DCWV Retro stack. The other smaller flower paper is also from that set and I mounted that on some card run through my Big Shot with my Swiss dots folder. I then rounded the corners using my corner punch. I punched some daisies with my regular punch and added some gems and some ribbon. The sentiment is one I stamped out ages ago- I think it's a Whispers stamp I got free when I subscribed to Quick & Crafty originally.

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Whispers?); Stamp (Penny Black); Copics; Gold Stickles; Paper- Retro stack (DCWV); Assorted cardstock; Swiss dots folder; Daisy regular punch & corner rounder (Woodware); Gems (Lakeland); Ribbon (recycled)
