Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday- Uptownie Molly Makes A Detour!

Hi ya. Hope you're all well and if you're in the UK, have been enjoying this gorgeous heatwave we're having this week!

Bellarific Friday has rolled around again and this week we had our inspirational sketch to follow. I decided to use Uptownie Molly Makes A Detour.

Molly is coloured with copics and then I added a Lyra pencil shadow- sometimes I just prefer the look of pencil as a bottom shadow. These gorgeous papers are by Echo Park. I decided to use my craft knife to cut a slot around the flowers in the corner of one sheet of DP- that way I could slot my image into it, kinda like a photo corner. I stamped the sentiment using PTI Dark Choc ink and used MFT die to cut out. The arrows are MFT dies as well, the teeny suitcase brad is one I had in my stash for years so I'm really pleased to have finally used it!

Here's your close up. I love how sophisticated and relaxed she looks whilst travelling! Love that she's taken time out to write in her travel journal! Just the coolest!

Here was your sketch for this week.
Next week's challenge is ONE LAYER WONDER CARDS. Always find these tricky myself but it's good to challenge yourself!

Entry details are here and don't forget you have the chance to win yourself some Bella bucks so get your entry in x

Stamping Bella DT Thursday with Winnie Looking Out Of The Window

Hi ya. Yesterday was my turn to take over the Stamping Bella blog with DT Thursday and I wanted to share some inspiration on how to give your stamping a 3D-decoupage effect! I made this card using Uptownie Winnie Looking Out Of The Window. Here is the finished card with all its' layers- doesn't Winnie just look so dreamy?! Read on if you want to see how I made her...

Firstly, you need to look at the image to see what you need to stamp out to create the layers. Here I decided to stamp out:
1. The complete image
2. The complete image again
3. The window box and foliage

On the first image, I coloured the entire image and paper pieced the curtains. I didn't worry too much about the quality of colouring on the frame, window box and foliage as these will be covered by other layers.

On the second image, I coloured the frame and the window box and foliage (not worrying too much about the quality of colouring on the window box and foliage as this will be covered by a final layer). I then cut out the frame and the window box and foliage.

On the third image, I coloured the window box and foliage and cut out. I then cut out a piece of acetate to fit the window.

I then made the rest of the card and stamped out the accompanying sentiment. I then attached the acetate to the top window frame using very thin (3mm) double-sided tape and assembled the layers using 3D foam pads.

You can see the layers here.

And here...

Love how she looks tucked in behind the window. Wonder what she's thinking about!! x

Bellarific Friday- Eve Under The Mistletoe

Hey hey hey!! It's Christmas time in the Honey Bootique craft room and I'm showcasing Stamping Bella's Uptownie Eve Under The Mistletoe for this week's Bellarific Friday...

This week's challenge was CHRISTMAS IN JULY! Yep, hope you got yourself some Christmas cards under your belt. I've made 4 so far- not the greatest of starts!!! So the gorgeous Eve was coloured with copics and then I paper pieced her dress using these beautiful papers by MME (Market Street) and fussy cut. I kept the design quite simple as I wanted to just showcase Eve and these insanely shiny papers!! The "joy" die is an MFT frame and then I simply added a couple of Kaisercraft die-cuts I got free.

Here's your close up. How gorgeous is she?! Who could resist puckering up to such a cutie?!!

OK, so next week's challenge is the below sketch. All the usual deets and prizes apply!! You gotta be in it to win it.

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Stamping Bella); Copics; Papers (MME); Cardstock (SU); Die (MFT); Die-cuts (Kaisercraft)
