Purple Onion Designs- Wishing

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well.

Today I'm back with some more Distress Ink colouring using the adorable Wishing by Purple Onion Designs...

I watercolored using Distress Inks. This is such a beautiful design that I just wanted very gentle colouring which is unusual for me but sometimes the image warrants it! The papers are by Tilda and I distressed them using my Tim Holtz tool. Main base of the card was cut using a large Go Kreate die for added interest. The sentiment is by LOTV.

Thought I'd enter some challenges...

Crafty Sentiment Designs- Anything Goes
Everybody Art Challenge- Lace or pearls
Cutie Pie Challenge- All Creatures..
Stamps & Fun=creativity- Inspired by a song- Wishing and Hoping!
Ribbon Girl- Use an image
Allsorts- Flower Power

Here is your close up. Such a sweet lil mouse! Makes me smile! x

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! I'm back!
Thanks for sticking around whilst I was on my break, it's great to see you again!!

Sooooo, what's been going on @ Honey Bootique?!
Well, the truth is, life has been kicking me around a bit and I decided I needed a rethink and so it was with a VERY heavy heart I decided to step down from my Design Teams and have a break from all the deadlines. Pretty scary seeings as I've been on DTs since a couple of months after I started blogging like 10 years ago or something!

I have been SO upset about resigning from Stamping Bella- they are my fav stamping company and at times, I thought, are you mad??!! But I need it and that's that. Em, of course, has been so supportive- love ya, Em!

The break has refreshed my mojo and I'm definitely going to take some time to experiment so you'll be seeing me using lots of different stamp companies, different mediums, different techniques.... Sounds fun, right?!

So for my return I've decided to show you a card I made using Distress Inks- a totally new medium for me. Of course I had to return with a Stamping Bella design so here is the very beautiful Tiny Townie Garden Girl Poppy...

I coloured her with Distress Inks- I used quite a few colours for the dress- yellows and oranges, as well as reds- I hope you can see the subtle colour changes. As I said Distress Inks are totally new to me so I am still learning and have a lot to learn. I love the really delicate, blended Distress Ink designs that I see a lot of around but I don't really do pale- I gotta have colour!! So I think this will probably more be my style with a more traditional watercolour feel to it but who knows? I guess my style is still developing. Let me know if you wanna know what inks I've used for a particular project as I've actually started writing them down now!!

Hopefully you can see a bit more of the subtle colour changes here.

Anyhoo, it's fab to be back! See you all soon! xxx

Bellarific Friday and some personal stuff...

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!

Today I'm going to be sharing the very cute Budding Chick for Bellarific Friday but first some personal stuff....

I'm going to be taking a break from blogging/social media for 3 months. I've had ALOT going on personally over the last couple of years which has left me quite drained. So I'm prioritising and taking some time out but I will be back so please don't go anywhere!

Anyway, here is my last post for now...

This week's challenge was a ONE LAYER CARD. Budding Chick was coloured with copics. I stamped the accompanying sentiment and then added a couple of strips of washi. Finally added some enamel dots. Such a great image for Spring, Easter, friendship and birthday cards. My brother is a gardener so I'll be giving him this for his birthday.

Here's your close up. I LOVE that cute snail! Makes me smile!
Next week's Bellarific Challenge is nice and easy ANYTHING GOES and the DT will be using the STAMP OF THE MONTH. Entry details are here.

So bye bye my friends for now! Thanks for all your support and lovely comments, I really do appreciate them and remember I will be back very soon! xxx

Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Garden Girl Lilac

Hi crafty peeps!

In case you haven't seen, there is the very exciting news of a new release over at Stamping Bella!!!! My oh my, a new set of Garden Girls, new Squidgies, cool chickies..... it is an amazing release!!

I haven't had the time to participate in the release this time around but in celebration of the new Garden Girls, I thought I'd share the very beautiful Garden Girl Lilac - I've been dying to use her! Isn't she just the sweetest?!

I coloured Lilac with copics- I love this shade of purple contrasted with that gorgeous green! Papers are by LOTV (retired). I added a glittery lilac flower and 2 teeny die-cut flowers from the paper and adhered together with a heart brad I've had in my stash forever!

Here's your close up! I just sigh with this stamp-the hat?!!! Amazing!

Bellarific Friday with Tiny Townie Sammy Is Sweet!

Hey everyone!

How are you all? Today's Bellarific Friday was the photo inspiration below. I decided to follow the colour palette whilst also taking inspiration from the sweet treats. So here is one of the new Tiny Townies from the last release- Tiny Townie Sammy Is Sweet...

Sammy is coloured with copics and I added white gel pen to her dress and the cupcake cherry. I then added some Stickles to her lollipop and present ribbon. Papers are by Basic Grey (I think!) Sentiment comes with. Hearts die is by PTI.

Here's your close up. Just love Sammy's dress and how gorgeous does that cupcake look?

Here was your inspiration photo.

Next week's challenge is nice and easy- ONE LAYER card. Get your entry into Em by Thurs- details are here.

Bellarific Friday with Edna The Diva!

Helloooo!

How crazy is it that we're in the middle of March already?! At least that means Spring is definitely here! Yay!

Today's Bellarific theme was GLITTER OR BLING. I decided to showcase the very gorgeous Edna The Diva...

Edna was coloured with copics and I added some Stickles to her wings and her fairy dust trail. I stamped her sentiment underneath. I decided to use just a large panel on my design cut using the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle. Papers are a Project Life pad by American Crafts selected for the crown design! Finally added some gorgeous glitzy faceted gems which I thought Edna would approve of!

Here's your close up. Gotta love Edna's dress sense! Leotard, crown and feather boa- unbeatable!!

Next week's challenge is the above inspiration photo- take it from the colours, the flowers, the sweet treats, the pastel outfit, rain, dancing.... phew! All your entry details are here.

Bellarific Friday with Edna Loves Chocolate!

Hey guys! How you all doing?

Today's Bellarific Friday was a sketch (see below) and my sample features a lady after my own heart- it's Edna Loves Chocolate!

The very gorgeous and voluptuous Edna is coloured with copics and I added Stickles to her wings. I decided to keep her on one whole panel with the sentiment instead of fussy cutting (gotta love that sentiment by the way!) Paper is by Tilda and the gorgeous ribbon is PTI.

Here's your close up. Love love the idea of eating a box of chocs in your leotard!! Edna is SO uninhibited! Love it!

Here was your sketch.

Next week's challenge is ADD GLITTER OR BLING! Can't wait to see all your projects!
All your entry details are here.
