Cute Card Thursday Challenge, Rubber Romance & Forever Friends

I've been a busy bee this week. Above is my entry for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. This week's challenge is called "Cheers!" and is to make anything with a drink-theme. I decided to use this Stamping Bella image I had. I coloured in with watercolour pencils and cut the circle using my nesties. I chalked the background with pencils and a sponge and then inked the edge of the circle with brown ink. The paper is from Banana Frog which I mounted on brown card. The sentiment stamp was in a set I got for Christmas last year from Hobbycraft- I don't know who makes it. Finally, I added a brad, flower, button and ribbon. I made the whole effect quite smudgy to fit in with the cappucino/coffee theme.

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Stamping Bella & ?); Watercolour pencils; Chalk pencils; Nesties; Paper (Banana Frog); Assorted cardstock; Ribbon (Jo'Anns); Button (free); Flower (E bay); Brad (Woodware)

Then I made this card quickly for my sister as we decided to meet up fairly last minute for cocktails and a meal as she was in London for work and basically she needs cheering up so I wanted to make something nice for her. The image is from Rubber Romance which I coloured with copics- red hair especially to look like my sis. The paper is from the All Dressed Up stack from DCWV. The ribbon I got from Banana Frog and the flowers were from Lakeland and Ebay. I printed out a little sentiment on my PC relating to what we were doing that night and added hot fix crystals on her shoes as a final dressy touch which I love! :0) She really liked it so I'm glad I did it!

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Rubber Romance); Copics; Paper- All Dressed Up stack (DCWV); Assorted cardstock; Ribbon (Banana Frog); Flowers (Lakeland & Ebay); Brad (Michaels); Sentiment from PC; Hot fix crystals (London Bead Co)

Another quick card as our friend who lives in Canada has just had a baby so we wanted to get a card off asap. I used a Forever Friends image I had which I painted using my watercolour pencils. I layered up on some card including card embossed using my Swiss Dots embossing folder and added some cute heart gems. The paper I got for Christmas last year and I don't know where it's from but I've used it loads for baby cards. Then I used my new Sophie's alphabet stamps from Paper Studio to write the sentiment which was so easy to do because in the set you get extra letters. I then added a final heart gem to the sentiment.

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Forever Friends & Paper Studio); Watercolour pencils; Assorted cardstock; Paper (?); Swiss dots embossing folder; Heart gems (free)
