Penny Black Saturday Challenge, Elzybells Showcase and more crafty stash!

Hi everyone. I hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend. I'm sorry I've not been visiting your blogs so much in the last couple of weeks, I've been really busy but I hope to catch up with all your lovely creations this week. I've been very naughty and have been ordering more crafty stash to cheer myself up- check it out below!

Anyway, here's onto today's first post. I've entered the Penny Black Saturday Challenge- the theme this week is to have 3 shapes on your card (not including the card and backing paper). I really enjoyed this challenge- can you spot my 3 shapes?! I coloured the image using watercolour pencils and added Stickle highlights to the roses. I then cut out using Nesties. The papers are all by Basic Grey (I love this pad!) The 2 stamped hearts are from my new crafty stash and are by Hero Arts, as is the sentiment. The bronze coloured tag is made using my tag maker and I added Prima flowers with hotfix crystals.

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Penny Black, Hero Arts); Watercolour pencils; Stickles; Papers (Basic Grey); Nesties; Tag (Making Memories); Flowers (Ebay); Hot fix crystals (London Bead Co.)

My second card I'm delighted to say is being featured on Elizabeth's Elzybells Sunday Showcase! I made this card cos I've been itching to use these stamps from Elzybells. I bought the set because one of my closest friends is moving to New Zealand later in the year for an unknown amount of time. I knew this set would be perfect as I'm going to miss her loads and loads. Anyway, I couldn't wait til later in the year to use them so I made a card now! Isn't she cute?!

The image stamp and words are by Elzybells coloured in with copics and cut out and layered with different Nestied circles. All the paper is by Making Memories. I totally love this paper set too! The layout is one I got from my card sketch book I got for Christmas.

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Elzybells); Copics; Nesties; Paper (Making Memories); Ribbon (Poppicrafts)

So here's my new crafty stash! Ooops, I really shouldn't be buying all this stuff! It's all from The Glitter Pot (by post this time- they're SO quick!) I got this absolutely gorgeous new paper pad from Basic Grey called Marrakesh- the colours and designs are so beautiful!), 2 woodbacked stamps and 2 clear stamp sets from Hero Arts and a couple of little inkpads. Watch out for these stamps over the next few weeks as I'm hoping to experiment with another new style!

My last post is the quickest card I've ever made. I wanted a romance card for my card stock and remembered I had this embellishment I'd pulled off a card we'd been given. Lo and behold, with some matching polka dot paper and some hot fix crystals and we have a card done in about 3 minutes flat!

Crafty stash used: Paper (Doodlebug); Embellishment (recycled); Hot fix crystals (London Bead Co)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed what you saw!! x
