Hi everyone! Hope you're all OK. I haven't really got much time for crafting at the mo so just two quick cards today I'm afraid. I've started packing in earnest now as we exchanged on Friday and are due to move next Saturday!! Yay!! The sad thing is that I packed up most of my craft stuff today. Booooo! So I won't be able to craft for a few weeks but I will be posting some cards I've made and haven't shown you before so do pop by. Plus the exciting thing is that I will have a new craft room in our new house and this time it's actually a whole room for me rather than sharing it with the sofa bed, chest of drawers and treadmill like in our old house!! Can't wait so watch this space for photos of new room too!!
Anyway, onto my first card of the day. This is a Mother's Day card for my Mum-in-law. I must admit I have rushed this a bit as I didn't have a lot of time to get it done but I think she'll like it. I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner. Penny Black image coloured with watercolour pencils. The blue papers are doodlebug, the yellow was a freebie in a mag. The 2 sentiments were in a Margaret Sherry freebie with a mag a few years ago. I added a bit of glitter on all the flowers but you can't really see it on the photo. (Sorry I still haven't sorted out my camera!)
Crafty stash used: Image (Penny Black); Watercolour pencils; Nesties; Fine black liner; Papers (Doodlebug, Freebie); Punch (Fiskars); Sentiments (Freebies); Flowers (Freebie & The Works); Assorted cardstock; Stickles
And onto my second card. This is my first card for the Craft for Life project. I've made 10 cards which I'll be showing you over the next few weeks as I can't do any crafting. It's a bit of a shame but unfortunately I haven't really have the time to devote to them that I would like to have had but I still think they've turned out OK and hopefully someone will want to buy them. It made such a nice change to work with such tiny cards (C6) and I really enjoyed making them.
For this one I used one of the Penny Black mice from one of the transparent sets. I thought these small cards were a great opportunity to use all my smaller stamps and scraps of paper and card as you're working on a smaller scale. I coloured him with watercolour pencils and highlighted areas with brush markers. I sponged some red ink around the edges of the image and added some gold Stickles and doodling. The paper is Basic Grey.
Crafty stash used: Stamp (Penny Black); Watercolour pencils; Brush markers; Nesties; Doodling; Red ink; Fine black liner; Paper (Basic Grey); Assorted cardstock; Gem (Joanna Sheen)
