Sketch Saturday- Urchin with bird!

Hi everyone! Hope you've had a great week and are looking forward to a fun weekend! It's Sketch Saturday time again!! Here is my DT card- a Christmas card for my wonderful Mum. Yes, I've started making Christmas cards this early again!

Is it OK to say that I'm really pleased with how this has turned out? I know my Mum will love it. I have to say it's mainly down to this fabulous Mo Manning image!!! How gorgeous is it?? She really is so talented! I coloured Urchin with Bird with a mixture of copics and lyra/watercolour pencils. The papers are by Simple Stories called 25 Days of Christmas- they really are beautiful. I added some gold card borders using a Dienamics border die and added some champagne hot fix crystals as my Mum likes a bit of bling! Then I used the Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone die and Festive Greenery die to create some festive greenery! It's the first time I've used the pinecone die so I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I inked up the edges of the pinecones with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder and then added Crystal Stickles over the top. The berries are recycled from last year's Christmas crackers!

I'd like to enter this into:
Shopping Our Stash- embossing- on pinecones
Crafty Boots- glitter
Craft Your Passion- anything goes
My Craft Spot- for the birds
Pink Elephant- lets see those layers (at least 3)
Papertake Weekly- anything goes
ABC Christmas Challenge- E is for evergreen
Christmas Card Challenges- embossing- on pinecones
Mo's Digital Challenge- try something new- made pinecones
C.R.A.F.T.- inspired by a song- "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"
Paperplay Challenge- recycle it- baubles from old crackers
Chocolate Coffee and Cards- feathers and fur
Bunny Zoe- shabby chic/vintage

Hi Steph, I didn't stop making Christmas cards, was I supposed to? Because I made them throughout the year last year Xmas wasn't as stressful for me so I've continued making them in the hope that they will all be finished well before December - no stress!
I love Mo's stamps too and this card is so beautiful - fab colouring and wonderful embellishments hugs Karen
