11 pipers piping & 12 drummers drumming!

Well, at long last I have finished my set of Penny Black 12 days of Christmas cards! I love this set soooo much. It's quirky and versatile and, most of all, really fun to use! For 11 pipers piping I remembered I had this great tartan looking paper in my DCWV Christmas stack and thought it would be perfect for this. So I coloured the tartan on the pipe bag to match the background. I used watercolour pencils to colour the image in and highlighted with gold Stickles. The sentiment is from See D's. I mounted both on some matching cardstock, added some tartan sticky ribbon and some gems.

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Penny Black & See D's); Watercolour pencils; Gold Stickles; Assorted cardstock; Paper- Christmas stack (DCWV); Sticky ribbon (Anita's); Gems (Lakeland)

For 12 drummers drumming I decided to try a different shaped card which I haven't done before. I used my snowflakes embossing folder to emboss the back of the card and cut the front section of the card in half so that the back would show from the front. I used paper from Dovecraft to decorate the front and the sentiment is from Elzybells. Again I coloured with watercolour pencils and highlighted with gold Stickles. I mounted the image on green card and attached it to the front using bright red brads. I think he looks like a dog with rhythm!!

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Penny Black & Elzybells); Watercolour pencils; Gold stickles; snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug); Assorted cardstock; Paper (Dovecraft); Brads (Jo'Anns)
