Cupcake Craft Challenge 14

Today's Cupcake Craft Challenge is a sketch set by Rosette which I think is fab. But, it's not only the sketch, there are also a few guidelines to follow as well. The first was that there has to be brown within the sketch somewhere and it must feature a scalloped edge. You can also add a sentiment if you wish and this can go anywhere within the sketch. As usual, you can reverse or flip the sketch so long as the original can be seen.

I really enjoyed doing this sketch and have made a card along similar lines to the one I did on Friday. Another Stamping Bella image (I looooove these!) coloured in with watercolour pencils. The 4 papers are from the Papermania Brights set, as is the sentiment. I inked the edges of all the papers with Vintage ink to tie them all in together. Finally I added a couple of flowers, a pink brad and some champagne hot fix crystals. I confess I did forget about the scalloped edge so I added some scalloped sticky ribbon at the last minute!

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Stamping Bella); Watercolour pencils; Paper (Papermania); Vintage Photo ink (Ranger); Sentiment & sticky ribbon (Papermania); Brad (Woodware); Flowers (Lakeland & Ebay); Hot fix crystals (London Bead Co)

hehehe ... i am half asleep i posted my reply at my blog lol ... never mind here it is for you steph

Hi Steph, thanks for your comments on my atc's. You asked about the background. It was done on glossy photograph paper with alcohol inks and pearl mixative. I used the tim holtz applicator for applying it. Then instead of just dotting onto the paper i swirled it around with the applicator in a circular motion and it gave that smudged effect. Hope this helps
