Stamping Bella New Release Sneak Peeks Day 4- Oddballs!!!

Whoaah! Today is such a fun day of the release with a whole stack of Oddballs!!! You're gonna be piling these up high in your basket.

First up I have ODDBALL GIRL MUMMY...

I coloured her with copics and fussy cut. I then took some kraft cardstock and sponged Distress Inks through a stencil. I then cut into a panel and mounted onto a black cardstock panel. I die-cut a spider web and Stamping Bella's "happy"and adhered them to the top left hand side of the card. I then cut the sentiment (love that font!) into a banner and adhered onto the card on top of a black banner.

Next up we have ODDBALL GHOST...

Whoooooooo! I coloured with copics and fussy cut leaving no border. I made a panel using Distress Inks which I then adhered to some DP and black cardstock. I die-cut a spider web and the sentiment into a banner (I coloured the sentiment with copics and white gel pen). I then assembled all the elements, raising the ghost up onto 3d foam pads. Job done!

Finally I'd like to introduce you to ODDBALL MOTH...

Personally, this is my favourite sample I made for the release! I love how she turned out and I think a journal page is perfect for her!

I stamped out several of the moths and then coloured them and her with copics and added some white gel pen. I then cut out leaving no white space. (I cut off the antennae and laces on her shoes).

To make the page I adhered some ripped sheet music and dictionary paper and glued onto my book page. I then added some masking tape and then covered the page with Gesso. I used texture paste through a stencil to create that lovely texture. I then used Lindy's Sprays (Cafe Au Lait), Crafty Notions Gold Spray and Jane Davenport Mermaid Marker (Reef) with a water spray to create colour. Then finished off with splattered black and white Liquitex. When dry I added some Gelatos (Butterscotch, Banana, Coconut) plus some Dylusions White Linen paint for the yellow light. I then adhered the images with 3D Matte Gel and outlined them with a Uniball black pen and Distress Marker in Black Soot. I drew back on the antennae and laces. Finally I added the sentiment and smudged some Gelatos around the edges.

Art Journal Page "With Brave Wings She Flies" Featuring Stamping Bella's Until Olive

Hi everyone!!!

Hope you're all good.

Today's share is an art journal page I made a while ago but haven't had time to share. I SO need to do more art journalling. I really LOVE it!! If you haven't had a go before, I urge you to do so, it's so much fun! So freeing and messy!!

This journal page features another one of Stamping Bella's Danielle Donaldson Collection called Until Olive. When this collection first came out, I absolutely loved it but was so nervous about using it so I only got four of them. Crazy or what??!! So it's my absolute mission to collect the rest. They are my perfect stamp for journalling and you can mix and match them with other stamps from your collection like I've done here.

First of all I coloured Olive with copics and added some white gel pen for interest.  I also stamped Dina Wakeley's Scribbly Wings on book paper and coloured with white gel pen and gold Kirarina Wink pen. I then cut both images out.

To make the page I first glued together 2 pages from my old book. I then glued some tissue paper and old book paper to my page and added some masking tape from interest. I then covered the whole page in white gesso. I then took the MFT Heart Stencil and spread some texture paste across it and let it dry. I then sprayed some Lindy's Sprays (let me know if you want to know the colours) with a water spray and let the colours do their own thing. I then added some Gelatos across the page and on the stencilled areas. When dry, I flicked Liquitex White and Picket Fence Distress Spray across the page.

I then stuck the images to the page using matte gel. I then used a black pencil and black Uniball pen to add doodling and interest to make the image and stencilled areas pop. I finally finished with a few Tim Holtz stickers.

Here's your close up!!

Thanks for stopping by today. I know this is a bit different to my usual cardmaking but I'm hoping you like it as much as I do. See you again soon! xxx

Stamping Bella- Sneaky Peek Day 4- Tulip Floral Set and Tiny Townie Daphne And Her Dogs!

Woo hoo!

It's Day 4 of the sneaky peeks of the new Stamping Bella release!! How excited are you so far? We've had all the new Oddballs, a fantastic new load of Squidgies, what else is to come???!!!

Well today, I'm featuring a gorgeous flower set and a Tiny Townie! Yippeee!!

First up is the beautiful Tulip Floral Set...

Aren't these stunning? I decided to make a journal page as I had a vision of Mostly Naomi walking through them so here she is!! I coloured all the images with copics and added some white gel pen for interest. I then fussy cut but left no white border. I then created the journal page by adhering sheet music and vintage patterns to the book page using glue and tape. I then covered the page with gesso. I  then added colour using sprays plus water and then flicked white Liquitex all over. I further added to the background by stamping stamps from the Stamping Bella's Perfect Scribbles set. Finally, I glued down Naomi and the tulips and added black shadows around them. The sentiment is from the Garden Girl Flower Sentiments set.

Aw! I love how she looks walking through! Imagine walking through a garden of giant flowers!! Love it!

And then we also have an amazing Tiny Townie image which I know you're all going to love- it's Tiny Townie Daphne And Her Dogs....

I SO love this stamp!! I coloured with copics and added a touch of white gel pen on the noses of the dogs then I cut out with a square nestie. I arranged the MME papers into a pleasing layout and then simply adhered the image on the top. The cute paw print die-cut, I bought off Ebay about 8 years ago!! Yes, I'm one of those crafters who keep EVERYTHING!!!

Your close up! Aren't they the cutest?!!

Gorjuss Art Journal page

Hey everyone!

Hope you're all well! Today I have another art journal page to share with you. If you've never done any art journalling before, I heartily recommend it! It's very freeing compared to card making and you get just get down and get inky and dirty!!!

This page has been created using the Gorjuss stamp The Dreamer coloured with copics...

I started off by colouring the image with copics. I added some highlights with white gel pen and then I fussy cut her leaving no white space. The page was created by sticking down sheet music, Tim Holtz tissue paper, some vintage pattern paper and masking tape and covered with white gesso. I then used Lindy's Sprays (C'est La Vie Cerise, Danny Zuko's Denim, Pop Rock Purple) and a water spray. I then added some splashes of Liquitex Titanium White. I added some gelatos (fig, raspberry, coconut, metallic mint) smudged with my finger. I stamped the dandelions from the Autumn Leaves Fine and Dandy set and then added white gel pen to them. I stamped out the cloud part of the Gorjuss stamp separately on MME patterned paper and drew freehand the rest of the clouds- I coloured with the before mentioned gelatos. I then stuck down the Gorjuss image, the clouds and a strip of matching paper which I thought was quite rainbow like. I then went round and highlighted each element using a black uniball pen. Finally added some word/sentiment stickers.

Here's your close up! Such a beautiful image!

Supplies: Stamps (Gorjuss, Autumn Leaves); Lindy's Sprays; White Liquitex; White gel pen; Black Uniball pen; Vintage sheet music and pattern paper; Masking tape; White Gesso; Papers (MME); Gelatos; Copics; Water Spray; Tim Holtz Tissue Paper; Tim Holtz Word Stickers

Gorjuss art journal page- Have You Seen My Heart?

Hey everyone!

Hope you had a lovely Easter. I'm sharing another art journal page today using the Gorjuss stamp My Own Universe. I've entitled the page Have You Seen My Heart?...

I stamped out the Gorjuss image and coloured with copics and fussy cut (leaving no white space). I paper pieced her dress and stamped her head a second time so I could have a layer of her hair over the dress. I added some copic shading to her dress and some copic clear spica pen for her crown.

For the page I used my vintage book again. I stuck down some book pages, vintage music sheets and tissue paper and added some masking tape for texture. I then covered the page in gesso. I then sprayed Crafty Notions Gold, Lindy's Sandra Dee Sepia and Rizzo Randy Red sprays and let dry. I also used some spritzed Iced Currant Gelato. I then stamped Stamping Bella's Multi Media Mini Checker Background stamp and finally splashed some Distress Ink Picket Fence and Lindy's Blazing Black across the whole page.

I then cut out some hearts from the MME paper pad I used for her dress and coloured/smudged using Iced Currant and Black Liquorice gelatos and adhered across the page. I also added a piece of matching striped paper.

Finally I added the Gorjuss image and then added my title using Tim Holtz alphabet stickers. I outlined everything using a pencil and Black Soot Distress Marker softened with water.

Here's your close up! Can you see the sparkle on her crown?

I decided to enter this into Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge which is "a trio of something"- mine is the 3 hearts.

Supplies: Stamps (Gorjuss, Stamping Bella); Copics; Papers (MME); Book paper; Tissue paper (Tim Holtz); Masking tape (Dina Wakeley); Gesso; Spray (Crafty Notion, Lindy's, Tim Holtz);  Gelatos; Matte gel; Alpha stickers (Tim Holtz); Distress Marker (Tim Holtz); Spica pen; Copic multiliner; Black pencil

Stamping Bella Art Journal page- Mostly Naomi!

Hi everyone!

Today I have a little something different to share with you. For a very long time now, I've been wanting to do some art journalling/mixed media but didn't really know where to start or what to do.

I watched some YouTube videos for ideas and supply lists and it still took me ages to get going. Isn't it funny how hard it is to get started with something that's completely new to you?

Anyway, without further ado, here is my first journal page ever... Please be kind... I'm learning!!!.....

I used a vintage book and glued several pages together and then stuck down some sheet music and other book pages with masking tape and then covered the page with white gesso. I then sprayed the page with Lindy's sprays (see below for colours) and then splattered with the black spray and a Tim Holtz White Picket Fence distress spray. I then stamped the background using Stamping Bella's Java Spills which I coloured with gelato and smudged with my finger. I also stamped the main butterfly from Stampington's Time and the mini butterflies and flower from Hero Art's Friend. I stamped Stamping Bella's Danielle Donaldson's Mostly Naomi on copic paper and coloured with copics. I cut out and glued to the page and then outlined with a hard pencil. I then stamped Visible Image's "vision" from their Where Dreams Take You set over the top of her legs. I then added some white gel pen highlights and some Tim Holtz word stickers which I also outlined with heavy pencil. And that's it!!

One thing I must do is give a shout out to Marta from Maremi Small Art- she has amazing videos on everything to do with art journalling and mixed media- from supplies to tutorials. She's so amazing and has been my influence in starting out.

Here's a close up of Naomi.

I have to say I have really enjoyed starting art journalling and I've already done some more pages. So expect to see some more of these as well as my usual cards.

What do you think? Have any of you tried journalling or mixed media? x
