Papertrey Ink: Special Guy!

Hello! I'm sharing another male card today using some Papertrey Ink products. I used Special Guy stamp set, Baseball T die and Special Guy Stencil Collection...

 I die cut the shirt using white and green cardstock. I then stencilled a design on the front before stamping a sentiment from the Special Guy stamp set. I added a little printed "in law" to personalise my card. I then simply layered up on a panelled wood design piece of paper on kraft cardstock.

Super quick and easy striking male card! Yay!

Stamping Bella- Tiny Townie Garden Girl Morning Glory!

Helloooooo!

Today I have a very sweet and delicate card to show you. You know me, I like bold and colourful so this one is a bit different for me but I love how it's turned out.

I used Stamping Bella's Tiny Townie Garden Girl Morning Glory...

I coloured her using copics and the no-lines technique. Then I made a shaker card using a large oval frame die which sits on top of some DP. I die cut the large "happy" from Stamping Bella's new die range and added a stamped "birthday" sentiment.

Stamping Bella- Tiny Townie Natalie And The Nutcracker!

Morning!

Hope you're all well. Today I have a just beautiful Stamping Bella image to share with you, it's Tiny Townie Natalie And The Nutcracker...

I coloured this using the no-lines technique with copics. I got such a lovely response on instagram when I posted this as part of the 30 Day Colouring Challenge so I hope the finished card lives up to expectations!! 

Because the image is so beautiful, I wanted to keep the card really simple so I just wanted to keep the image as the stand-out focal point. I simply added a teeny flash of patterned paper, a sentiment and a couple of embellies.

Lili Of The Valley- Little Nurse

Hallo crafty people,

Hope you're all doing well and enjoying some crafty time. Today I have a sweet get well soon image from LOTV to share...

This stamp is called Little Nurse. I have no idea whether this is available as a digi. I'm quite confused by the direction LOTV have been heading- I find it quite sad really. I miss the old LOTV- am I the only one? Anyway, I coloured with Distress Markers. I created a sketch using these ancient Making Memories papers and stamped a LOTV postmark sentiment over the top. I added a sentiment from PTI and a little heart and pearl to finish.

Lili Of The Valley- Big Present!

Hi ya my crafty friends!

Hope you're all well. Here's another card I made yonks ago but haven't had a chance to post featuring LOTV's Big Present...

I coloured him with copics and fussy cut. I then made a clean and simple card by cutting a panel to fit the front side of the card blank. I then die cut some stars using MFT dies and adhered some patterned paper to the front of the card blank so that it appeared behind the die-cut stars in the panel. I added a strip of paper to the front of the panel and then stuck the panel down to the card blank. I then raised the image up on 3d pads and adhered to the middle of the panel and then stamped the PTI sentiment onto a die-cut stitched banner. I then raised the banner up on 3d foam pads as well. 

Such a cute image!!

Lili Of The Valley- Oliver Skateboarding!

Brrrrr! Well the Beast From The East well and truly gripped us here in Essex! 

In a big to take my mind off the constantly freezing weather, I've done a little crafting with LOTV's Oliver Skateboarding...

So this was a bit of a different card for me. I'm trying to experiment a bit with inks and to use stamps for backgrounds as well as using my trusty DPs. I was quite pleased with how this turned out. All the background stamps are PTI. Inks were a mixture of PTI and Distress Inks. "You Rock" is a PTI sentiment and the other label one is by Altenew.

Lili Of The Valley- Annabel Texting!

Today's card features LOTV's Annabel Texting...

I coloured Annabel with Distress Markers and cut out using a circle nestie. These papers are sooooo beautiful and are by Tilda. After coming up with a simple sketch, I then layered up the elements. "Happy" die is by PTI. Pretty simple!

Stamping Bella- Huggy Squidgies!

Happy mid-week! How are you all doing? 

Today, I've got a Stamping Bella Squidgy image to share with you, it's Huggy Squidgies...

Huggy Squidgies were coloured using copics and then I fussy cut them. Papers are by Simple Stories. The "hugs" die is by MFT. I cut it out using plain white cardstock and 3d foam and layered them up. The "& kisses" sentiment is by PTI that I die-cut using MFT's flag banner. Finally added some sequins.

Lili Of The Valley- Secretly Yours!

Hi everyone!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend! Today I have a LOTV anniversary card I made for my in-laws...

I coloured Secretly Yours using the no-lines technique with copics and added a lyra pencil shadow to the floor. The papers are by Dovecraft which I distressed. Once I'd come up with a sketch I layered the distressed papers and stamped the postage mark stamps. I then adhered the recycled lace and the image on top of that. I die-cut the PTI sentiment and stamped out the accompanying "anniversary". I adhered the "happy" flat and raised "anniversary" up on 3d foam pads. Finally I added some flowers and pearls.

Lili Of The Valley- The Charleston!

Hey crafting buddies!

How goes it? Hope you're all doing good and managing to fit in some crafting time this week. I'm focusing on some Christmas Project Life this week but have quite a few cards I haven't posted yet so today I'm going to share this LOTV stamp called Charleston...

Such a cute image! I coloured using copics and the no-lines technique- a first for me! Yes, I know I'm waaaaay behind the curve but I never seem to have the time to try a new technique. Course, once you've done it once- you're sorted!! I glued a piece of black cardstock to fit a card blank and then glued 2 pieces of patterned paper together to be slightly smaller in size. I then cut an aperture and raised the patterned paper panel up on foam tape. I glued the image to the card blank and adhered the patterned paper panel on top. I stamped out the "anniversary" and die-cut the "happy" in black cardstock and covered it with Pico Embellisher to give it shine. Finally added some recycled trim and burgundy hot fix crystals. I thought the font on the sentiment and the trim looked quite art deco to match the image.

Purple Onion Designs- Walter!

Hi my crafting lovelies...

Today I have just the sweetest image to show you- it's Walter (cute name) the penguin by Purple Onion Designs...

I coloured Walter with copics and added some Stickles to the fur on his hat. I then fussy cut. I die cut a square frame of Reverse Confetti paper and stuck to a small card blank. I then added the die cut PTI  "snow" and stamped the accompanying sentiment above it. I then die cut a PTI snowflake and placed that above the sentiment and adhered Walter so he was sitting on the "snow". Finally added a gem to the snowflake.

Purple Onion- Snow!

Hi everyone!

Are you done with your Christmas cards?! I'm close to being done with showing you all of mine, just a couple more to go now!! I'm currently working on some Project Life projects but I've got lots of new fresh cards to show you that are non-Christmasy so I'll be showing you those in a week or so. Yay! I've got a bit of Christmas card fatigue this year I think.

So today I'm showing you a couple of really sweet Purple Onion stamps I used to create a little wintery scene. The stamps I used are Snow (Snowman with broom) and Snowy Trees...

I stamped out the snowman and masked him out and then stamped the snowy trees over the top to create the scene. I then watercoloured using Distress Markers, added some white gel pen to create snow and lots of Stickles to the trees. I then stamped a sentiment from PTI. I cut out the image using a Nestie rectangular die and adhered to a kraft card blank. I then die cut the rest of the sentiment using a PTI die and added some twine.

I just love these stamps by Stacey- even the trees have character!!

Lili Of The Valley- James Big Star!

Hey everyone!

Hope you're all well and getting some crafting time. I'm currently working on some Project Life at the moment. I've got 3 different projects I'm working on- a holiday, my son's birthday and his preschool. I'm planning on finishing these before Christmas and at the start of the year, am hoping to get stuck into my online pencil colouring course. Have you got any projects you're working on? As usual, I'll be doing my end of year project round-up and to-do list for next year!

Anyhoo, enough rambling and onto today's card featuring LOTV's James Big Star...

I coloured James with copics and cut around him into a panel which I adhered to the card blank. I added a strip of foiled MME paper which I thought would look lovely against the gold star he's holding. I then stamped "very" by PTI and die-cut the matching "merry" and adhered to the card. Job done!

Purple Onion Designs- Cora and Thomas (Skating Bunnies)!

Hello again!

Hope you're all OK and had a good weekend. Today I am sharing a really simple CAS card featuring two stamps from Purple Onion- Cora and Thomas (Skating Bunnies) and Pond/Lake Background...

I stamped the stamps (first masking out Cora and Thomas) onto watercolour paper and then coloured with Distress Markers. I added some white gel pen for snow and some Stickles on the hills and tops of trees. I cut the panel out using a large rectangular nestie and adhered to a card base. Finally stamped a sentiment from PTI.

Okerly pokerly, let's get down to it....today's card features LOTV's Snow Shovel...

I coloured with Distress Markers and cut out using a Lil Inkers die. The papers are by LOTV (now retired) on a kraft card base. The large snowflake border die is by Memory Box. The "snow" die and "much fun" sentiment are both by PTI. I cut out the sentiment using an MFT die. Added liberal dose of Stickles- essential at this time of the year!

Lili of the Valley-Milk and Biscuits!

Hey guys!

Hope you're all good. I made this birthday card ages ago for a friend of my little boy who, coincidentally, is also called Zachary!! Thought I'd show it today to break up my run of Christmas cards! I don't know about you but I like to be prepared with my Christmas cards-  I do NOT want to be making them in December so I'll really be trying to finish them off by the end of November if poss.

I coloured Milk And Biscuits digi image with copics with quite a rough, loose feel. The papers are by MME. I stamped out the letters of the name using PTI's Type Strip alphabets. The stars are Nesties, the star banner by MFT. I *think* the sentiment is a SSS one but memory is failing me right now! 

Such a cute image!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! I'm back!

Thanks for sticking around whilst I was on my break, it's great to see you again!!

Sooooo, what's been going on @ Honey Bootique?!

Well, the truth is, life has been kicking me around a bit and I decided I needed a rethink and so it was with a VERY heavy heart I decided to step down from my Design Teams and have a break from all the deadlines. Pretty scary seeings as I've been on DTs since a couple of months after I started blogging like 10 years ago or something! 

I have been SO upset about resigning from Stamping Bella- they are my fav stamping company and at times, I thought, are you mad??!! But I need it and that's that. Em, of course, has been so supportive- love ya, Em!

The break has refreshed my mojo and I'm definitely going to take some time to experiment so you'll be seeing me using lots of different stamp companies, different mediums, different techniques.... Sounds fun, right?! 

So for my return I've decided to show you a card I made using Distress Inks- a totally new medium for me. Of course I had to return with a Stamping Bella design so here is the very beautiful Tiny Townie Garden Girl Poppy...

I coloured her with Distress Inks- I used quite a few colours for the dress- yellows and oranges, as well as reds- I hope you can see the subtle colour changes. As I said Distress Inks are totally new to me so I am still learning and have a lot to learn. I love the really delicate, blended Distress Ink designs that I see a lot of around but I don't really do pale- I gotta have colour!! So I think this will probably more be my style with a more traditional watercolour feel to it but who knows? I guess my style is still developing. Let me know if you wanna know what inks I've used for a particular project as I've actually started writing them down now!!

Purple Onion Designs- Flora!

Happy Christmas week, my crafty friends!

Just thought I'd pop by with another Purple Onion Designs Christmas card.  I used the same design as the Cedar The Fox card I made a few weeks ago. When you're running short of time, using the same design really helps!

I coloured Flora with copics and added white gel pen to her scarf then fussy cut. Paper is by Fancy Pants, sequins by Doodlebug and sentiment by PTI.

Some Papertrey Ink Christmas cards

Hey you!

How are you all? Thought I'd just show you a few multiple-make PTI cards I've made...

The first three use PTI's Holiday Tags 2013, Limitless Layers dies- Ovals, Damask Snowflakes dies, Background Basics- Christmas Joy and Bitty Dots Basics paper. I used Scarlet Jewel ink and cardstock and Kraft paper.

For this one I used Pinefeather ink and cardstock and Kraft paper.

And this one I used Enchanted Evening ink and cardstock and Aqua Mist paper.

Finally I made some cards using Holiday Home stamp set and Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shore and Plum Pudding.
