Crafty stash used: Stamp (Penny Black); Watercolour pencils; Nesties; Paper (My Mind's Eye); Assorted cardstock; Flower & brad (Poppicrafts); Sentiment (Craftwork cards); Black fine liner
Another Penny Black stamp I got at the weekend. This is for The Pink Elephant Challenge who's theme this week is Easter. I'm still making my Easter cards and now I've just got some orders from my Mum and sister so will be busy making these this week. The stamp is coloured in with watercolour pencils and highlights added with Crystal Stickles. I then cut out with circle nesties and layered on scalloped circle. The papers were free with a magazine yonks ago and I layered on some cardstock. The blue card is run through my Big Shot with Stylized Flowers embossing folder. The sentiment is Elzybells.
Stamps (Penny Black & Elzybells); Watercolour pencils; Crystal Stickles; Nesties; Assorted cardstock; Papers (free); Gem (Joanna Sheen); Embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
Thank you
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to those of you who left such kind messages to me on my last post. I really was touched. It's still very early days and sometimes I feel very confused because part of me still doesn't believe he's not here. I don't know whether that ever leaves you. Lots of you who've been through the same thing say that you never stop missing your Dad and that you always feel sad but that the intensity of pain will ease. That's such a comfort to me because I don't ever want to get over my Dad- how could I? My Dad was my hero, my role model, my counsellor and protector. He was such a loving father who always put us first. I adored him.

Hi Steph! So sorry to hear about your dad, it must be really hard to come to terms with such a loss. I lost my horse last week after 23 years and I'm really struggling to get my head around that. It takes time to get over such sorrow, hope you're feeling better soon xx
Great cards! I love the Easter one...the image is gorgeous! Thanks for joining us at TPE this week!
On a personal note...I am sorry about the loss of your dad. It does get easier, I promise. You will always miss him, but the pain does lessen over time...

Both beautiful cards - thank you for joining our challenge at the Pink Elephant.
I couldn't help but scroll down and read your other posts. So sorry you are suffering and missing your dad so much. It is the hardest thing in the world to loose ones we love so much - I feel for you as I have gone through it myself. It does get easier but it takes time and lots of it.
Sending you a huge hug - take care.

Two fabulous cards Steph, and either would be brilliant for this week's PB spring theme - the cat is so happy and spring like, and the flowers are beautiful how you have coloured them. Thanks for joining in the PBSC this week.

Hi Steph, I'm so sorry to read that you lost your Dad and that you're grieving so badly for him. I don't think that there's anything that can be said that will ease the pain, only time can made a difference and it sounds as though you're going through the very hard process that takes it's toll. Only time makes the difference to lessen the hurt, thinking of you and I'm so sorry for your loss. Your cards are beautiful and I hope you're finding a little solace in creating. Big hugs, Chris xxx
Dear Steph, I hadn't known that you'd just lost your father. My sincerest condolences. I lost mine 14 years ago. It actually took awhile before the grief fully hit me. He was sick with cancer for a couple of years before he died, so it wasn't a surprise. I was so relieved for him when he finally passed because he'd been in so much pain. So for awhile it was just relief, until one day almost 2 years later when the grief suddenly kicked in hard. I wish you strength and peace of mind and heart. Blessings ~ Serena
P.S. Your cards are great! Nice job piggy-backing challenges with your orders!
