Sketch Saturday- Pack Light

Hi all. Hope you've got lots of fun crafty things planned this weekend. I don't know about you but I've got some serious Christmas card fatigue- as ever I started v early but as the year goes on, there seems to be an endless stream of cards to make. I'm REALLY pleased to say I've only got 4 left to make!! Yay!! I've made 56 and alot of them have been quite detailed and as it takes me quite a long time colouring each image, it does take yonks. Next year I'm going to do more CAS style ones I think.

Anyhoo onto today's Sketch Saturday challenge....

This is my very first Saturated Canary image would you believe!!!! I've used Pack Light but as I wanted it to fit into the circular sketch, I decided to enlarge the image and cut around the luggage and have her sitting on the floor. I really like how it turned out. I coloured with copics. Papers are Basic Grey PB & J. The ribbon I hope you can see is a navy blue rather than black.

I'd like to enter this into:
Card Crafters Circle- use patterned paper
Card Makin Mamas- anything goes
Raise the bar- anything goes
My Heart Pieces- use ribbon
Paper Crafting Journey- use ribbon or twine
Unique Crafters- sugar and spice and all things nice
Totally Stampalicious- anything goes
Make It Monday- anything goes!

I really love her hair!

Here is your sketch!

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Krista over at Saturated Canary! Yay!

Sketch Saturday- Party Koala!

It's Saaaaaturday! Time for another Sketch Saturday challenge! I do hope you can join us today! My card for this week's sketch is a card for a friend's little boy's birthday featuring Party Koala.

I coloured Party Koala from Whipper Snapper using copics and a bit of watercolour and lyra pencils. These lovely papers are from my recent new craft stash called Fine and Dandy Boy by MME. The sentiment is a Whispers one and is actually one of the first stamps I ever bought! Stars are made using Star Nesties and the star border is a MFT die.

A little close up of the cute little fella!

Here is Jo's amazing sketch for this week. As you can see I rotated it!

Our sponsor this week is the fabbie Craft Barn! Come along and play with us and check out the rest of the DT's gorgeous designs!

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Whipper Snapper, Whispers); Copics; Watercolour pencils; Lyra pencils; Papers (MME); Assorted cardstock; Star Nesties; Oval Nesties; Star border die (MFT); Nailheads (Josy Rose); Button; Black gel pen (Sakura)

More Christmas cards!

Hello! Would you believe I've made some Christmas cards which aren't cute?!!  I'm sooo into "cute" at the moment but I thought I'd do some more traditional Christmas cards as well so here they are! Hope you like them! I must apologise though for my rubbish photo-taking. I really need to find a spot with good light and improve on the wonkiness that is always visible in my photos!

I love the simplicity of this stamp- I think it's Whispers. I stamped the image using my silvery/blue inkpad onto white card and then mounted on mirror card. The "let it snow" background was created using a stamp from my Christmas See D's set which I then stamped repeatedly to look like backing paper. I then just mounted on various blue card- the dark blue is a kind of pearlescent card so it has a lovely shimmer to it. I then added a lovely wide silver ribbon, a brad and some gems.

This card was made pretty much in the same way using red ink and I just varied the layering a bit.
